also seen twirling their pens were martin brammer, graham gouldman, lucie silvas and another firm favourite, colin campsie.
jon green of the bonfires (a project close to the heart of the swamp) bought the passion back into fashion.it's a rubbish myspace but you can hear some of the fantastic songs.

and recently heard laying down a backbeat were superstar session drummer ashley soan.(see pic) and brian bennett of 'the shadows',a little known sixties combo : )
following the passing of my friend and webdesigner, tony young, i am running the grunty fen half marathon for brain tumour UK.

( 2.9 / 16 )My friend and website designer Tony Young died June 3rd aged 42 after being diagonised with a brain tumour in Febuary this year.
A brave, spirited and super-positive character loved by all who knew him.Every holiday saw him cycling across Canada or Cuba or on school trips to Namibia (He was an IT teacher at King Alfred School, Golders Green) and seemed to have packed a lot of living into his limited years.
Also a member of the five a side group Paddington Wrecks FC and a terrible gossip too. Very glad to have known him.A star that shone too briefly .
too.

( 3 / 62 )last year mads, richard law and i worked with a talented singer-songwriter from bolton, stephanie kirkham, under the project name 'lucy rocket'.
things didn't work out for 'lucy rocket' but happily peugeot are using one of the songs in their ad for a new sporty looking car.
stephanie, mads and i wrote a couple of other crackers ('bon voyage' and 'kiss me kwik') which may now also surface.

recent visitors to the swamp include 'the bonfires',darren hayes and danish pop star (and germany's number one) aura dione.
and to top it off 'cry me out' is on the number one album 'now that's what i call music 75'.
ok enough bragging.

( 2.9 / 66 )two highlights of the year so far....my 50th birthday bash and todd rundgren performing his classic seventies album "a wizard; a true star".
it was an honour to have so many of my dearest friends at a surprise birthday party.in fact it was overwhelming.a slick live band with various star turns from guest singers like badams (let's get it on ),graham gouldman (a dedicated 'dreadlock holiday' ),wayne hector ('superstition'),lucie silvas ('torn') and paul surety!!!
an amazing evening.love was in the air.
on the keys tim jackson, ben barson
on guitar jon green and richard lobb
on bass mads hauge
on drums tom meadows
on various instruments david munday
on tambourine mister fox.
a couple of weeks later i was lucky enough to attend todd's rehearsals for the hammersmith show.i shook the genius's hand.a wizard.a true star.the show was like crazy theatre.check out the posts on youtube.my inspiration.
meanwhile at the studio this year we've had the fabulous pixie lott come by for some songwriting.voice sounding even better.
also collaborating at 'the swamp' were up and comer liam o'donnell, norwegian pop star lise karlsnes, songwriter ina wroldsen and noisettes drummer jamie morrison.
below you can see mads and pixie deep in creative thought...is it a hit? are we winning?
